Welcome To Taimur Awan's Poetry

The Dawn

Injured and wounded a thousand times by life,
Her love and affections became a heavenly pharmacy to my existence,
Like a beaming sun of felicity that has risen,
from the Celestial apartment of the East.

The Sages have expressed that life throbs with misery,
Yet by her love I wore the Crown of the loftiest happiness,
A new candle was lit within, Bethlehem’s star appeared on the horizon.
I anticipated behind the veil of the future,
A princess with a face thrice more beautiful than the full moon,
Her eyes like glittering sapphires,
Our Romance as fresh & new as the gaudy nurslings of the spring,
When fields begin to blossom, and carnation buds appear.
