Welcome To Taimur Awan's Poetry

My Existence

Why isn’t my existence like the everlasting stars,
that endure forever and never fade,
Or pure and virtuous as the Virgin skies,
Shining with the pristine glow of many gems,

Lord grant me the nectars of divine happiness,
The chalice of wine intoxicating and lasting,
And like the sun nourishes the infant flowers,
Make my blossom timeless.

God, you cause the sun to rise and set,
By your decree a thousand rose gardens blossom,
Light my heart with a lamp of inner peace,
Grant me and her the immense trophy of love that never ends.
